Volunteer & Mentor Guide

Volunteers and mentors help expand program capacity, but interest alone does not authorize a person to work with youth or represent the Foundation.

Possible roles

Volunteer pathway

Application → screening → orientation → role assignment → supervision → hour tracking → review and recognition.

Screening and boundaries

Roles may require references, identity verification, background checks, training, signed conduct standards, or other screening. Volunteers must work only within their approved responsibilities and follow youth-safety, privacy, communication, incident, and facility procedures.

Attendance and hour records

Volunteers should confirm schedules, sign in and out, report absences, record service hours accurately, and immediately report injuries, safety concerns, property loss, or participant issues.
