Parent & Guardian Guide
This guide helps families understand the first steps for Safe Space and related youth programs.
Enrollment steps
- Review the program page and current status.
- Submit the appropriate interest or application form.
- Wait for confirmation of availability, location, schedule, age fit, and any required documents.
- Complete parent permission, emergency, pickup, media, and other program-specific forms before participation when required.
What to expect
- Age-appropriate, guided learning connected to the Discover, Develop, Launch, and Return & Lead pathway.
- Clear program status—active, school pilot, developing, seeking partners, or future initiative.
- Supervision, behavior expectations, sign-in/sign-out, and safety procedures appropriate to the activity and location.
- Communication about cancellations, changes, materials, and next steps.
What to bring
Requirements vary. Families should bring only items identified by the program. Personal cards, models, devices, instruments, or other equipment should be labeled, and the Foundation is not automatically responsible for unapproved valuables.
Learning support and privacy
The website intake form asks only for general learning or communication preferences. Do not submit diagnoses or medical records online. After placement, program leadership can explain the appropriate process for information genuinely needed to plan safe and reasonable support.
